Understanding and Responding to the Sexual Behavior of Children (URSBC) and Adolescents helps adults understand children’s behavior in ways that will promote children’s healthy sexual development. The training describes the continuum of sexual behavior from healthy to unhealthy, teaches adults how to recognize the difference and how to intervene and redirect behavior in order to help prevent child-to-child sexual abuse. This is a 3-hour workshop that can be tailored to a group’s specific needs, i.e., early childhood only, strategies for chronic sexual acting-out behaviors, etc. Relevant for educators, childcare providers, parents, foster parents, and other caregivers of children.
Completion of this training counts towards Child Development Associate (CDA), Specialized Care, or re-licensing hours in Vermont.
