As caregivers, we have the responsibility of staying involved in children’s lives and the opportunity to influence their values and choices.
While this may seem challenging, our involvement in our children’s worlds can make a huge difference in helping them to develop healthy relationships and safeguarding them from abuse and violence.
The Healthy Relationships Project recognizes the crucial role that caregivers play in their children’s development and involves them in student learning throughout the program. We engage caregivers in the program through our series of Caregiver Nights and Teen Adult Dialogues. We do this so that caregivers know what is going on i n the classroom and can help to provide clear and consistent messaging to their children to reinforce all that they learn during the school day. We also want to offer caregivers the opportunity to weigh in and share their experiences, thoughts, and values with their children.
