In the SAFE-T program (for grades 7-8), having various adults come into the classroom to deliver consistent messaging around sexual harassment and abuse offers students a large network of people they can access if they need support or advice. Many SAFE-T lessons include the option of incorporating a community resource or support staff into the classroom. This can be a school counselor, nurse, school resource officer, or a representative from a community organization. Ideally, this person would outline what their role is in the school and/or community and assist the SAFE-T teacher in facilitating the lesson.
