Get Trained in the Healthy Relationships Project!

We provide training nationally for all three of our Healthy Relationships Project programs both in Vermont as well as nationally. Vermont based schools may be able to receive training for a reduced price.

We regularly travel within Vermont to train schools and childcare centers. National trainings can occur at PCAVT headquarters in Montpelier, Vermont or a PCAVT Trainer can travel to train a group of professionals in their state. National trainings scheduled in VT are usually most cost-effective for those looking to train 1-3 people, while it usually makes more sense for larger groups to have a trainer visit their state.

Our Training of Trainers equips participants to:

  • Train teachers/childcare workers to use the program(s)
  • Facilitate a parent meeting for childcare centers/schools that will be implementing the program(s).
  • Implement the program(s) in the childcare setting or in the classroom
  • Provide on-going technical assistance and support for those implementing the program(s).

To learn more about scheduling a national training, call 800-975-7147 or email pcavt@pcavt.org. The training order form provides an overview of some of the costs, and final quotes will be established depending on the location and other factors.

Want Healthy Relationships Project, but no time or funds to do a national training? While we highly recommend having someone from your center attend an in-person training in order to start using our curriculums, we know that not everyone who wants to start using our child sexual abuse prevention programs can attend a training right away. Learn more about purchasing the facilitator's guide only.

Children in Your Community Need You!

Become a Trained Trainer in the Healthy Relationships Project.

Becoming a Trained Trainer in Prevent Child Abuse Vermont's Healthy Relationships Project will prepare you to facilitate our comprehensive child sexual abuse prevention programs AND teach others to facilitate the programs, as well. All three of our curricula are developmentally targeted, research-based, and focus not only on victim prevention, but also victimizer prevention, by teaching children the social-emotional skills to recognize, manage and maintain healthy relationships throughout their lives.

We are offering an opportunity to become trained this fall:

November 29 & 30, 2018 at our new office space in beautiful Montpelier, Vermont.

Our two-day trainings equip attendees with the knowledge and skills to bring all aspects of the Care For Kids©, We Care Elementary©, and SAFE-T (Sexual Abuse Free Environment for Teens©) programs--including adult trainings, parent/home caregiver engagement, and in-classroom instruction--to their communities.

The early registration cost for each two-day training is $500 when you register by November 1st. After the early registration date cutoff, the price will be $550 per training. Vermont based organizations and current Trained Trainers needing a refresher or an introduction to the most current editions will be able to receive trainings at a reduced price. Contact us for more information regarding this
All curricula and materials will be available for use during the training, and available for purchase afterwards. Ongoing technical support is provided with the purchase of any curriculum.

Ask us about our current evaluation project on all three curricula!
