Support each other during the holidays

It’s That Time of Year Once Again!

We need these holidays, perhaps now more than ever. It is time to celebrate our family members, the old and the young,  community volunteers, health care workers and neighbors! We have had a time like no other… not in our memories, and now we need to bind our wounds, heal our sick, prevent the spread of more illness via vaccines and masks, etc. and love one another.

Think of others, like never before. Bake cookies and share with others; decorate your home with simple holiday items you can make or you already have. Plan a special meal and video the preparation and share with loved ones you cannot visit right now.

Share your own creative ideas with others on Facebook or other social media. Have fun and let everyone in the family come up with ideas about how to celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas, Kwanza, and Chanukah! Whatever your traditions may be, do celebrate safely and with joy. We are still here, Vermont Strong!

If you are a Vermont parent feeling stressed, call the VT Parent Helpline, at 1 800 CHILDREN (1-800-244-5373). We care about you and your family.
